Hi! I’m Mariel and I’m so happy you’re here.
I’ve been capturing memories behind my lens for as long as I can remember. I have my BA in photojournalism and have worked in the creative industry for over a decade. I made a career switch in my mid-twenties and got my master’s in education, then took some time off from work when I had my daughter. Over the last few years, I’ve stepped back into the creative space. I work as a freelance photographer as well as the photo coordinator at The Bird and Bear Collective. I work with brands, families, couples, creatives - whatever your vision is - come to me and we will make it come to life.
I believe the best types of photographers are the ones you can be your authentic self around - I want to capture you as you are and have FUN doing so. We will chat, play, listen to music, and lose ourselves in the moment. In hopes that my photos act as lasting memories for you to look back on for, well forever!
